Dane Arts is now accepting submissions for the twenty-fifth edition of our annual arts calendar and poster, highlighting the wonderful and talented artists of Dane County.
The theme of the 2025 Calendar is: “Curious by Nature”

Original artwork in all mediums will be considered. Professionally photographed two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork will also be considered. Applying artists must be Dane County residents at the time of submitting. New artists who have not been selected for past Cultural Affairs publications are highly encouraged to submit work. Selected original artwork must be available in case it needs to be re-photographed to meet production specifications.
All images submitted will be considered for selection. 12-14 images will be chosen for the calendar, and one image will be chosen for the poster.
Required Materials:
Works that are selected will reflect the unique beauty, stories, history, and people of Dane County, and will evoke and represent Dane County cultural life. Other criteria include artistic quality, balance of seasonal representations of Dane County, and market appeal.
The application for the 2025 Dane Arts Calendar & Poster is now open! All submission are due by FRIDAY, MAY 31, 2024 by 4 PM.
• Selected artists will receive the following honorarium for reproduction rights in calendar, poster, and promotions:
- Calendar: $125 (per image)
- Poster: $500*
• Selected artists also receive 5 free calendars and posters for personal distribution.
Wisconsin galleries representing selected artists also will be acknowledged in the calendar, if desired.
*Poster honorarium subject to change based upon design.

The purpose of the gallery is to offer Dane county artists a place to show their work in a frequently visited public space, and an opportunity for the public to discover and enjoy the work of local artists.
Artists of original, two-dimensional, ready-to-hang, works of art may apply for consideration to exhibit. Artists must be 18 years of age and reside in Dane County.
