Each year for over six decades, the Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission's annual art poster has showcased a different, talented local artist. This tradition lives on in 2018. Poster donations help support the Commission's mission and programs: fostering public participation, increasing access, and forging alliances in support of local arts, culture and history.
2018 Art Poster
This year’s poster features, “Sunflower on Ely Place” by Dane County resident and artist, Reed Jones.
About the Artist
Reed Jones is an oil painter and pastel artist working from his Madison, Wisconsin studio. He paints images that interest and challenge him, from portraits to cityscapes and landscapes. The quiet beauty of the Wisconsin countryside is a frequent subject, as is the historic Madison neighborhood where he lives and paints. His work, “Sunflower on Ely Place” captures the impressive façade of “Buell’s Folly”, a shingle-style Queen Anne built in 1894 on the first lot in University Heights.
